Tockio is currently in beta. That means there may be some bugs or missing features — but it’s under active development, with new updates rolling out daily.
Tockio is a shared calendar designed specifically for families in British Columbia.
It coordinates schedules, activities, and responsibilities across parents, kids, and caregivers — all in one place.
This is an early release, so what you‘re seeing is the foundation of a broader vision: making shared family scheduling simple and better suited to real life.
No, you can use it solo.
You can set up profiles for other family members as “dormant” accounts. They can join later and claim their profile if they want.
Yes. Tockio makes it easy to involve others — co-parents, babysitters, grandparents, etc.
You can assign tasks and events to them. They‘ll get their own profile, and can create a full account if they want.
Tockio is free to use — and most features will always be free.
In the future, I might introduce optional paid upgrades or ads.
Yes. Privacy is core to Tockio‘s design.
Data is securely stored and never shared without your explicit permission.
I‘ve been building software for over 20 years, with a strong focus on security best practices. That experience has shaped how Tockio handles your information.
You‘ll be able to export your data at any time.
If you ever decide to move on, I‘ll help you transfer your calendar into another app.
Yes — in fact, that‘s one of the main reasons I built Tockio.
I believe kids should be empowered to manage their own schedules and build independence.
Tockio helps answer their daily questions like:
Eventually — that‘s the goal.
For now, Tockio works alongside your existing calendar. You can use both side-by-side until you feel Tockio is a full replacement.
Not yet, although that‘s the next logical step.
Currently there's just the mobile-optimized web app (tockio.com) which works on tablets and phones.
Once there's sufficient demand, I'll build apps for Android and iOS.
Google Calendar is fine for meetings and Zoom links — but not for helping your kid answer, “When does Mom get home from her trip?”
Most family calendar apps are just wrappers around Google Calendar.
Tockio is different. It‘s designed from a child‘s perspective — and a parent‘s need to track family life:
It‘s built for real-life family coordination, not meeting invites.
Beta means it‘s still growing, and your feedback shapes that growth.
You‘ll see frequent improvements and updates — and your experience helps guide the roadmap.
There‘s no risk of losing data. Just expect a few rough edges until they're smoothed out.
I‘d love your input.

I‘m a software developer and parent of two school-aged kids.
I‘ve built and sold software companies before, and now I want to make an app that families will actually use — something well-designed and genuinely helpful.
